Let’s engage your audience! With our high quality event technology, we seamlessly execute all audio visual and production aspects. In this article you’ll find what we have learned through years of experience working with corporate!

Before The Event

  • Outline the main goals of this event! This way you can stay on track.
  • Come up with at least 2 different potential event dates.
  • Find and reach out to at least 3 different potential venues, give them your main requirements and request a proposal.
  • Preliminary guest list outline
  • Ballpark a budget as unexpected expenses can add up!
  • Create Sponsorship package(s), this can save you money! Many vendors(including us!) are willing to negotiate pricing based upon these packages. Social media/Program recognition along with free event tickets are great options to put in your package.
  • Food and Beverage basic requirements
  • Negotiate hotel/lodging. If you use hotel meeting rooms for your event, there are usually discount rates on lodging.
  • Create a timeline with deadlines to help stay efficient with your planning efforts!

2-3 Months Before The Event

  • If your company hosts regular events/conferences/meetings, it may be beneficial to designate standing committees to handle certain event aspects.
  • Promotional Strategy
  • Registration Fee structure (don’t forget cancellation policies!)
  • Invite and lock in Keynote speakers
  • Hire an audiovisual company to ensure proper sound and lighting

Movie Night Tips

Summer nights are meant to be fun, folks! Daylight lingers, and entire neighborhoods stay out to play long after the sun goes down. It’s a spectacular time of year and we can’t think of a better way to take advantage of it than to host an outdoor movie! In just a few simple steps you’ll be on your way to hosting a night to be remembered by all!

  1. Pick your movie

Is this a child friendly evening or for adults only? Is the entire neighborhood coming by or is this a girls night in? The options are endless,  just have fun with choosing your flick! 

    2. Invite your guests!

Whether it be word of mouth, social media or cute handwritten invitations, just start spreading the word! You’ll want to let folks know they should bring pillows/chairs/blankets and dress in comfy clothes! 

   3. Contact a local audio/visual/production company

 So important to have the right gear to show your movie! A little ambiance lighting is a lovely touch too. Offering a quality audio and visual experience can and will make all the difference for your night. Also, having a technical crew come out to set up for you takes away the headache of hunting down screens and projectors on your own. 

    4. SNACKS!!

It’s so important to offer a variety of snacks and beverages to keep your guests happy! A candy bar? Local brew bar? Popcorn machine? The possibilities are endless, it’s a lovely touch to tie your snacks in with your theme!

MagicQ MQ60 is part of a new generation of small and lightweight MagicQ Consoles specifically designed for traveling lighting designers. The MagicQ MQ60 fits within the hand luggage restrictions of all the major budget airlines including Ryanair, Easy jet and South West.

While maintaining a small form factor, it has room to grow into. There are four patchable direct DMX outputs on the rear panel and a total of 12 universes supported for direct output over Ethernet via protocols such as; Art-Net, sACN, Pathport and Strand Shownet.

The console features at inbuilt UPS which protects both the console and the Ethernet switch in case of power fail.

It has low power consumption and does not require a cooling fan – enabling silent operation for broadcast, theatrical and corporate shows.

With built in MIDI input and output, and an audio input for synchronization, the MagicQ M60 provides many options for integration with show control and audio systems.

The MagicQ MQ60 runs the same MagicQ software as other MagicQ consoles, meaning that shows programmed on it can be loaded and ran on any other MagicQ console (within the universe limits). Likewise, files created on one of the other models can be saved and played back on the MQ60. This scalability is one of the core design principles for all of ChamSys lighting controllers. Show files are forward and backward compatible across software release versions and new features are regularly added to the software.
